George Nelson’s innovations were diverse legendary. As design director at Herman Miller he recruited luminaries like Charles Eames and Isamu Noguchi. Among Nelson’s many iconic designs is the whimsical ball clock (pictured below).
Sheila Alley and Scott Nichols share a creative spirit and a passion for art and design. Nichols is an artist with a degree in fine arts from the University of Oklahoma he met Alley, who majored in musical theater. Together, they have operated The Vintage Vault, a store offering an eclectic mix of Mid Century Modern furniture, art, decorative items, vintage clothing and classic vinyl records, since 2013.
The Vintage Vault is located in Tulsa's burgeoning midtown design district on Harvard near the campus of Tulsa University. Nichols and Alley comb the region for the finest examples of vintage furniture, clothing and decor. Their unique finds are available through the retail store or via an online catalog.
